Maya’s journey into the global Boogie scene began with her breakout album, "Never Dance Alone," in 2019. Her follow-up album, "Persimmon," released in 2022, continued her rise, with singles appearing on numerous editorial playlists and international charts. Notably "Out Of My Life" secured a spot in the top 100 of CBC's  Searchlight competition.

Maya is a sought-after collaborator, known for her songwriting, producing, and arranging skills. She also tours as a violinist and vocalist for esteemed Canadian and international artists, including Juno winners Arkells and Haviah Mighty. Additionally, she is one of the visionaries behind Bowed Arts, a quartet performance collective and community music school dedicated to accessibility and equity in music.

Steadily building an international profile, her dynamic performances extended to international stages, including Tallinn Music Week in Estonia, Viva Sounds in Sweden and Hello Stranger in Los Angeles. Most recently she has just returned from showcasing in Japan as part of Tokyo Music Bridge and in Montreal for Folk Alliance International.
